ABOUT
ANNIE
Annie Morrison has worked for almost 30 years as a voice therapist/ teacher. She studied voice in performance at The Central School of Speech and Drama and has taught in London drama schools including Rose Bruford and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. She was Head of Voice at Guildford School of Acting, Voice Coach for AOD (Actors of Dionysus), runs articulation workshops for voice teachers at the Central School of Speech & Drama and works with individuals and groups including Art X Press. We are more naked in our voices than our skin. The voice makes manifest the state of our being on every level - physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. As such, freeing the voice frees the person; finding our voice means finding ourselves. In her work, Annie draws on her experience of movement and bodywork including Bodymind Centring, T'ai Chi, Laban Dance, Six Forms of Touch, Alexander Technique, Feldenkrais Work and Chinese Internal Exercises. Her approach is intuitive, imaginative and playful. It is underpinned by her sound therapeutic and technical training.
